About my work experience
Hello, I'm Bram Siebers
Currently, I’m working part-time at Cortazu as a Technical Product Designer/Developer, while also freelancing in 3D design for fashion and performance brands.
But let me start at the beginning the denim chapter.
In 2014, I graduated from the Jean School in Amsterdam, where I focused on product development. Shortly after, I joined a denim mill headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan, working from their design & development office in Amsterdam. I spent around ten days a month in Karachi, gaining hands-on experience with laundry processes and pattern making. Areas I had already explored during a six-month internship at A14 in Istanbul.
Over time, I took on longer assignments in Bangladesh, working closely with production teams. My focus gradually shifted from design to product development, where I felt most confident and impactful.
In 2017, I started exploring 3D design through freelance projects with The Fabricant. At that point, I was still learning CLO3D, manually stitching together digital garments with basic skills but a lot of drive. That same year, I also helped build the menswear brand Law Of The Sea, founded by the owner of Van Tilburg Mode in the Netherlands. I was responsible for product development, tech packs, pattern making, and implementing CLO3D into the development pipeline, sharing DXF files directly with factories. This period laid the foundation for my own integrated 3D workflow in product development.
In 2018, I began working as a full-time freelancer, continuing projects for Law Of The Sea and expanding my involvement with The Fabricant. In 2019, I became their first full-time employee, working as a 3D Product Expert (DPC). For over two years, I led Digital Product Creation projects and helped scale the team during a time of rapid growth, especially as COVID-19 accelerated the demand for digital workflows.
In 2021, I transitioned into the VFX department to broaden my skills in CGI, photorealistic rendering, and tools like Unreal Engine. I worked closely with senior artists and quickly grew into my role as a VFX Generalist.
In 2023, The Fabricant and I parted ways. I returned to full-time freelancing, living and working as a digital nomad across Asia for over a year. In late 2024, I moved back to Amsterdam and joined Cortazu, an outdoor brand committed to sustainability and innovation.
At Cortazu, I’m helping implement an end-to-end CLO3D / CAD / CGI / Unreal Engine workflow, contributing to both current and past collections. I strongly believe that 3D can significantly reduce physical sampling, improve internal communication, and enhance collaboration with factories. But even more importantly, it elevates pattern accuracy and garment fit, giving outerwear like jackets and ski pants a premium, body-aware look that traditional 2D methods simply can’t match.
